CAP COM Federal Credit Union announced earlier this month that Paula Stopera, the credit union’s President and CEO, will retire in late May 2019. Christopher McKenna, CAP COM’s Executive Vice President and Chief Lending Officer of its mortgage subsidiary, Homeowners Advantage, will take the reins as the organization’s new President and CEO.
In addition to the President/CEO transition, CAP COM has announced three hires to its senior leadership team.
Jason Greco has joined the credit union as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Jason comes to CAP COM from Enginuity Technologies, a company focused on providing outsourced technology services to small and medium-sized businesses, which he founded in 2018. Jason was previously the CTO at Ayco (A Goldman Sachs Company) from 2015 to 2018, as well as Vice President, Software Development and Support from 2010 to 2012 at CommerceHub. Jason’s responsibilities as CTO at CAP COM FCU includes leading the credit union’s information technology staff and its subsidiaries in application development, database administration, web development, and project management.
Christine “Chris” Horne comes to CAP COM after a 30-year career at General Electric, including GE Power, GE Global Research, GE Plastics and GE Power Systems divisions. She joined CAP COM as Chief Experience Officer (CXO) in January. She previously served as Senior Global Communications, Public and Community Relations Manager, GE Power. Chris’s areas of expertise include communications, marketing, business development and community relations. Her background also includes product management, Six Sigma quality, sales and customer service. At CAP COM, Chris will concentrate on growing the business by enriching the member experience and delivering impactful community outreach. She oversees marketing, community relations, business development, retail branching and affiliated programs to ensure consistency with the credit union’s mission.
Lee Carman will assume the role of Chief Lending Officer (CLO), after more than eight years at National Union Bank of Kinderhook. Lee most recently served as Senior Vice President, Lending, at the bank (since 2013). Lee oversaw commercial and residential loan production and led the overall success of Kinderhook Bank as a member of the executive management team. As CLO, Lee will be responsible for providing leadership over CAP COM Federal Credit Union’s overall loan portfolio, comprised of consumer, commercial and real estate loans, under the overall direction of the Board of Managers.
Incoming President and CEO, Chris McKenna stated, “We are extremely excited to add Jason, Chris and Lee to our team.
