Canvas, Corks & Forks Celebrates First Anniversary

Canvas, Corks & Forks, 402 Union Street, Schenectady, celebrated its first anniversary recently with a ribbon cutting hosted by the Capital Region Chamber. Joining owners Thomaura O’Sullivan and Bob Orminski were Chamber Ambassadors, local elected officials, friends and representatives from the Downtown Schenectady Improvement Corporation.

“We are a paint, sip and eat business,” stated Thomaura. “Marrying a timeless past time of creativity and painting with festive cocktails, wine, craft beer, root beer floats, wine ice cream, peanut butter gelato hugged in chocolate, signature desserts and a cookie bar, fun music and gourmet mac’n’cheese makes for fun for everyone from 5 to 95 felt like a no-brainer. We like to slogan that no experience is necessary, just must be able to have fun! When you join us you are immediately greeted like a guest in our home. We strive to set a tone of relaxed fun in an energetic environment. Our favorite part is seeing guests arrive a little nervous to ultimately being so relaxed they are singing ‘Sweet Caroline’ with the crowd, dancing while there’re painting, going back for seconds at the mac’n’cheese Bar, and discovering something about their innate artistic selves,” she added.

Hours of operation are Wednesday and Friday 7 – 9 p.m. Thursday is a “happy hour” class from 5 – 8 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. For more information, call 518.332.6854.
