Cano Named Vice President of Creditors’ Association of Upstate New York

Pilar A. Cano, Esq., partner and practice area leader at Albany-based law firm of Deily & Glastetter, LLP, was named vice president for the Creditors’ Association of Upstate New York.  The installation took place after a board vote on March 21.  She succeeds Jeremy Dickinson and will serve on a two-year term basis.

Cano has been an active member of the Association for many years.  She previously held the position of Secretary to the Association from 2010-2014.  Prior to that, she served as a board member from 2008-2010.  In her new role, Cano will be assisting her fellow board members with quarterly meetings and presentations as well as promote the Association’s goals and initiatives regarding creditors’ rights.

Cano joined Deily & Glastetter, LLP in 2008 and is the practice area leader to the firm’s retail collections and replevin departments.   Cano focuses on the areas of creditors’ rights for national and local business clients, and has experience in handling all aspects of pre and post judgment collections and asset recovery.  Prior to relocating to New York, Cano practiced in Georgia in the area of consumer bankruptcy dealing with all aspects of Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases.  She is a current member of several bar associations including the Albany County Bar, Georgia State Bar, Capital Region Bankruptcy Bar and the Capital District Women’s Bar Associations.
