AHEAD OF GRAND OPENINGS IN LATHAM AND SARATOGA SPRINGS
LATHAM, N.Y. – BURGERFI, one of the fastest growing better burger concepts, known for its fresh, all-natural burgers, fries and frozen custard, announced today that it is hosting an open job fair to fill exciting new positions at its new locations in Latham and Saratoga Springs. Local franchise owner, Burger Ventures, LLC, is seeking qualified candidates to fill positions for cooks, managers, assistant managers, food preparation, cashiers, and more. Approximately 50 to 60 new employees will be hired at each location: 860 New Loudon Road in Latham and 460 Broadway in Saratoga Springs.
“BURGERFI stands out from other burger places in many ways including our hiring process and work culture,” said Bill Lia Jr., partner, Burger Ventures, LLC. “Our extensive training program along with our fun, collaborative environment makes BURGERFI an ideal place to work for qualified candidates in the food service and casual dining industry.”
Interested applicants are invited to an open job fair on Tuesday, June 30 in the parking lot of the Latham location at 860 New Loudon Road in front of Latham Farms. A morning session will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. followed by an afternoon session from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Applicants are asked to bring copies of their resume and any supporting documents.
Burger Ventures, LLC, is committed to finding the best talent for BURGERFI as they gear up for grand openings in Saratoga and Latham later this summer. The restaurant just filled three key positions bringing on Meredith Mercier as General Manager of the BURGERFI Latham location as well as Jeff LeClair and Justina S. Peterson in supervisory roles.
For their new roles, all management is required to participate in an extensive training and support program for BURGERFI. This initial training occurs 30-45 days prior to a restaurant opening and teaches key management staff what they need to effectively run a BURGERFI franchise.
“In my 25 years working in the food service business, I have never been through training like this one,” said Mercier. “It was a great experience and I am really excited to be joining the BURGERFI team and culture.”
“The BURGERFI mission is to build a better burger for our customers and to do that we must first build a better team,” said Angelo Mazzone, partner, Burger Ventures, LLC. “Out of the gate we engage employees in trainings that will help them better understand what the BURGERFI brand stands for and what sets us apart. We empower them and arm them with what they need to be a part of our team.”
BURGERFI has made its mark with never frozen, grass-fed Angus beef that is free of growth hormones, chemicals and additives. Additionally, each BURGERFI store is built to reduce its carbon footprint on the environment. Tables are constructed using compressed wood, chairs are made from 111 recycled Coke bottles and large fans utilize 66 percent less electricity. The chain has strict recycling programs in place for all its oil, cardboard, bottles, and cans at each restaurant location.
