Scautub Agency, LLC, a subsidiary of the Glenville Bank Holding Company, the parent company of 1st National Bank of Scotia, announces that Kenneth C. Buhrmaster has been elected to its board of directors.
The Milton resident is currently president & CEO of J.H. Buhrmaster Company, Inc. and president of Buhrmaster Propane, LLC, a heating oil and propane delivery company that serves customers in Schenectady, Saratoga, Montgomery and Schoharie counties.
“As a director, Ken brings a fresh perspective to agency leadership,” said Scautub Agency CEO Robert Dieterich. “His decades-long experience as a small business owner — and expertise developing startup companies— will be invaluable as we look to position this company for long-term growth and profitability.”
Buhrmaster brings a wealth of business management and executive experience in the service industry to his new role. He is the former president of the Oil Heat Institute of Eastern N.Y., an organization that promotes the advantages of oil heat to consumers, and former chairman of the board of the Town of Milton Zoning Board of Appeals.
A graduate of Utica College of Syracuse University with a degree in economics/labor relations, Buhrmaster has also served on numerous boards, including the New York Propane Gas Association, Empire State Energy Association, and Upstate New York Energy Association.
