BST & Co. CPAs, LLP Announces Several Promotions in Audit and Accounting Department

BST & Co. CPAs, LLP, one of the Capital Region’s leading financial and management consulting firms, today announced a series of promotions within its audit and accounting department.

Nia LaParl has been appointed senior manager of the division; while Ann DeLucco, Jonathan Gibbs, and James Sullivan have each been named manager, respectively.

“We are pleased to announce these advancements at BST,” said Ron Guzior, managing partner of BST. “Each of these professionals brings valuable experience to our audit and accounting department. Their knowledge only adds to our firm’s extensive portfolio of services.”

LaParl joined BST in July 2013, following six years of public accounting experience. In her role, she manages the audit and review of engagements of privately-held companies, with a focus on the construction and manufacturing industries. She is also involved in the firm’s employee benefit plan audit group.

LaParl earned a bachelor’s degree from the School of Management at the University at Buffalo, with a concentration in registered accounting and internal audit. She is a certified public accountant licensed in New York.

DeLucco has more than six years of public accounting and auditing experience and specializes in the not-for-profit and governmental industries. She has a master’s degree in business administration and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Fordham University. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.

James Sullivan

Gibbs joined BST in 2010 and serves on a wide range of engagements with a concentration in the government, manufacturing and closely-held business industries. In his role, he leads several of the firm’s larger municipal and public authority audit engagements. Gibbs is a graduate of the State University of New York at Oneonta with a bachelor’s degree in accounting.

Sullivan has seven years of public accounting and auditing experience, with a specialty in the governmental and not-for-profit industries. Prior to joining BST he worked for a regional accounting firm in Syracuse. Sullivan has a master’s degree in business administration and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Le Moyne College. He is a certified public accountant licensed in New York and is a member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Government Finance Officers Association.
