BST & Co. CPAs, LLP Announces Promotions in Valuation, Forensic and Litigation Department

BST & Co. CPAs, LLP announced two promotions within its valuation, forensic and litigation department.

Katie Stott has been appointed senior manager, while Caleb Barton has been named senior analyst, respectively.

“We are pleased to announce these advancements at BST,” said Ron Guzior, managing partner of BST & Co. CPAs, LLP. “Both of these professionals bring valuable experience to our valuation, forensic and litigation department. Their knowledge only adds to our firm’s extensive portfolio of services.”

Having joined BST in 2013, Stott offers numerous years of experience in income tax preparation, and has been involved in numerous valuation engagements, including those of privately-held businesses, professional licenses, enhanced earnings capacities and stock options for use in matrimonial proceedings and litigation. She holds a master’s degree in taxation and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the State University of New York at Albany.

She is a certified public accountant accredited in business valuation and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Barton has been involved in numerous valuation engagements, including those of privately-held business enterprises, professional licenses, advanced academic degrees, enhanced earnings capacities, and professional practices for a variety of circumstances, including matrimonial proceedings, forensic accounting and asset tracing, lost business income analysis, lost earnings and substitute wages for self-employed individuals injured in automobile accidents, and the calculation of lost profits as a result of business vehicles damaged in automobile accidents.

He is a certified public accountant, accredited in business valuation, and a certified fraud examiner. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. He holds a master’s degree in forensic accounting and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the State University of New York at Albany.
