Bryan Simmerman Memorial Golf Tournament

Each year the Schenectady County Bar Association hosts a golf tournament in the name of Bryan Simmerman to benefit a local organization with ties to our legal community.

This year’s tournament is being hosted in conjunction with the Montgomery and Fulton County Bar Associations and the Medical Society of Schenectady County as a means of benefitting the Medical Mission of Dr. Tom Catena.

If you are unaware Dr. Catena is an American physician who has been practicing in the Nuba Mountains of war-torn Sudan since 2008 .  After graduating Duke University School of Medicine on a U.S. Navy scholarship, he completed his Navy commitment and later began missionary work in Africa.

Dr. Catena was born in Amsterdam, New York and was the son of Montgomery County Family Court Judge, Gene Catena and the brother of Montgomery County Court Judge Felix Catena.
