Book Trivia Game Night

The Schenectady Public Library is hosting a book themed team trivia night on August 4, at 6:30 p.m. in the McChesney Room at the Central Library.

Calling all book nerds and trivia addicts! Are you looking for a fun way to mix up your usual trivia routine? SCPL has the remedy with their brand new team trivia night with a literary themed team challenge.

This is not your typical trivia night though. Some of the rounds involve audience participation (voluntary for extra points for your team), identifying book covers, and exploring maps!

This event is part of a line-up of free events for adults all summer long.

“We really wanted to bring some new fresh programs for adults to the library” says librarian Leah LaFera. “My favorite round of the evening will task teams with identifying the fantasy world’s featured in ten different maps. Every round will have a different way for teams to work together to answer questions. You don’t have to have read every book in the library to do well, but it certainly would help!”

Teams of 2-6 people may register in person or over the phone at any SCPL location or online via the library’s Program & Events section on scpl.org. This event is for ages 18+, is free to attend, and refreshments and treats from local eateries will be served.

The Schenectady County Public Library is located at 99 Clinton St in downtown Schenectady. For more information on this and other events contact us at 518.388.4500 or visit us online at scpl.org.
