The Bonadio Group, upstate New York’s largest independent provider of accounting, consulting, and financial services, has hired Jamie Cote, a CPA, as principal in its Albany office. Cote will be operating as part of the firm’s government, higher education and healthcare/tax-exempt practices, with a focus on supporting large complex entities within these industries.
In his new position, Cote will be joining a team of professionals well-versed in auditing, accounting, management consulting, tax compliance, and forensic accounting, among other areas. Cote will be responsible for providing auditing and advisory services, including helping clients with complex accounting and compliance issues, risk management, and governance matters, as well as supervising a team of auditors in the Albany office.
Cote began his career at KPMG in 1996 as a member of its government industry team. He rose through the ranks to senior manager and worked with clients, including the States of New York and Vermont, Commonwealth of Massachusetts, City of New York, State University of New York, Westchester Medical Center, Nassau University Medical Center, New Jersey Institute of Technology, University of Vermont, twelve New York State Counties, and many large New York State Public Authorities. Prior to joining The Bonadio Group, he served as a senior manager at Grant Thornton.
