March 27, 2019Bonadio Group Partner Kevin Testo Running for 2019 Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Man of the Year
Albany-based The Bonadio Group Partner Kevin Testo announced today that he is running for 2019 Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) Man of the Year. LLS Man and Woman of the Year is a philanthropic competition to support blood cancer research among a group of motivated and dedicated individuals in communities across the United States. Candidates form powerful fundraising teams and compete in honor of two local children who are blood cancer survivors.
The man and woman who have raised the most funds during the 10-week campaign are awarded the prestigious title of Man or Woman of the Year in their community. The participants have 10 weeks in 2019 to fundraise, starting with a Kickoff on March 22, 2019 at the Renaissance Albany Hotel and ending with a Grand Finale on May 31, 2019 at the Rivers Casino & Resort in Schenectady.
“As someone who holds the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society close to my heart, I look forward to raising as much money as possible and raising awareness for such a worthy cause,” said Testo. “The Bonadio Group has supported LLS for years, but I’m proud to be the first employee to run for LLS Man of the Year and to bring our support of the organization to the next level.”
In 2018 The Bonadio Group employees raised over $5,000 in donations and sponsorships of the annual LLS Light the Night Walk to raise awareness of blood cancers and in Albany. Every dollar that LLS invests in research comes from charitable support.
