Bob Belber, General Manager at ASM Global/Times Union Center, Hosts “Rock to Raise” for LLS on May 15, 2021 at the Albany Capital Center for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Man & Woman of the Year Campaign

Bob Belber, General Manager at ASM Global/Times Union Center, will host “Rock to Raise” for LLS on Saturday, May 15 at the Albany Capital Center to help raise money to support blood cancer research. Belber is participating in a ten-week campaign for the prestigious title of Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Man of the Year Albany.

Since March, Bob’s “Rock Star” volunteer team hosted two virtual events called “Rock to Raise for LLS” featuring musical entertainment and a comedian. Belber stated, “It has been an honor to work with a great group of volunteers to develop events that will produce contributions and funding to help support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and to join the effort to fight cancer.”

Hoffman Car Wash & Hoffman Jiffy Lube will be presenting our final “Rock to Raise” for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) in-person event on Saturday, May 15 from 7:30 -9:30 p.m. at the Albany Capital Center, with social distancing. Live music will feature singer/songwriter Don Ferlazzo, followed by Al Bruno, former lead singer in the Blue Light Special Band, and the “good time rock ‘n pop” sounds of Joe’s Boys! There will also be food, game competitions, and prizes. The cost is $50 per person. All proceeds benefit LLS. Tickets are still on sale at wnyt.com/LLS/

For an additional $20 per competition, there is a chance to win fabulous prizes. The competitions include a basketball foul shooting contest (highest number of made shots out of 25 attempts), a table tennis competition (matched up and the first person to score 11 points), and/or a dart throw competition (the most hits on center out of ten attempts). The champion in each of the three categories will win one year’s worth of car washes at Hoffman Car Wash & Hoffman Jiffy Lube. Other prizes include weekend overnight stays at Prestige Hospitality Group locations such as:
