Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Capital Region Host Bowl for Kids’ Sake

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Capital Region (BBBSCR) today announced details for their signature fundraising event, Bowl for Kids’ Sake to be held March 15, 2020 at Spare Time in Clifton Park from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Bowl for Kids’ Sake is Big Brothers Big Sisters’ signature fundraiser. Every year, half a million people across America come together to have fun and raise money to support Big Brothers Big Sisters. Bowl for Kids’ Sake is the fun and easy way for individuals and companies to make an impact on the local community—it only takes a little bit of effort to raise the money that is vital to our program’s success.

This year’s event features a family carnival theme.  Activities include unlimited bowling, bowling shoes, laser tag, face painting, arcade games, pizza, and a souvenir t-shirt.  Tickets are available for just $25 for adults and $12 for children under 12. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit bbbscr.org.

“We love hosting this event because it’s all about having fun to support a good cause,” said Elena Kyprianou, events and campaigns manager of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Capital Region. “This year’s theme will provide more entertainment for everyone, as well as the opportunity to support our mission to defend the potential of kids across the Capital Region.”

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Capital Region serves almost 600 youths in the area by providing them with strong, enduring, professionally supported, one-to-one mentoring relationships. These relationships help children realize their potential by inspiring their futures, ultimately strengthening their contributions to the community. To adequately sustain a Big-Little mentorship, the cost is approximately $1,200 a year. Fundraising events, like Bowl for Kids’ Sake, contribute to maintaining Big Brothers Big Sisters’ efforts to change the lives of children forever.
