The Chamber along with local elected officials helped welcome in the merger of Berkshire Hathaway and the long standing Blake Realty in Downtown Schenectady. Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Blake, REALTORS® is a family owned business that has been in existence for 96 years. It was founded and incorporated by Samuel E. Blake in 1922 and had one of their first offices in the City of Schenectady.
Berkshire Hathaway has been a partner with the City of Schenectady H.O.M.E.S program since the onset. Berkshire Hathaway has been marketing Schenectady’s housing market out of their Niskayuna office. But now, after almost a hundred years, Berkshire Hathaway is opening a Showcase Annex that is central to the Proctors downtown at 426 State Street to best highlight the residential assets of this reinvented city.
