Berkshire Bank’s Blanchette speaks on Banking Money Service Businesses

Berkshire Bank is excited to announce that Sharon Blanchette, First Vice President BSA/AML Officer, spoke about banking Money Service Businesses (MSBs) at the Capital District Bank Security Officers Association in Albany on Wednesday, September 27, 2017.

A money services business (MSB) is a legal term used by financial regulators to describe businesses that transmit or convert money. Blanchette attended this event, speaking about the basics of MSBs, and the risks they pose.

“MSBs are an important and ever-growing topic of discussion in the financial industry,” said Blanchette. “It’s important to understand what services these businesses provide and the risks and rewards associated with banking them.”
