Ballston Spa National Bank Employees to Support Regional Food Bank of NENY on Annual Community Service Day

Today, Ballston Spa National Bank (BSNB) employees will participate in an annual bank-wide Community Service Day. BSNB locations across the Capital Region will close at 12:00 p.m., allowing employees to volunteer their time planting vegetables, weeding, making beds and working in the green houses at the Patroon Land Farm in support of the Regional Food Bank of NENY.

“Our annual Community Service Day reflects one of BSNB’S core values of strengthening the communities where we live and work,” said Christopher R. Dowd, president and CEO. “BSNB’s team of more than 130 employees will spend the afternoon volunteering at the Patroon Land Farm. The fresh, high quality produce grown by the farm benefits both the Regional Food Bank and many partnering agencies located in communities across our region.”

“Volunteers are truly the backbone of the Patroon Land Farm, and battling food insecurity is a collective, community effort,” said Tom Nardacci, CEO of the Regional Food Bank. “We are so grateful for the continued support of our friends at BSNB and their volunteer efforts to help us grow and provide fresh, nutritious food to people who need it”.
