May 12, 2022Ballston Spa National Bank to Donate 750 Weekend Backpacks
On May 10, Ballston Spa National Bank (BSNB) employees participated in an annual bank-wide Community Service Day. BSNB locations across the Capital Region closed at 12:00 p.m., allowing employees to volunteer their time. This year’s event supported 5 local school districts by providing an anticipated 750 weekend backpacks containing nutritious, child-friendly food supplies.
More than 130 employees volunteered time packing the discreet backpacks with a variety of foods designed to fill plates over a weekend, which can be a challenging time for families that rely on school lunch programs during the school week.
The school districts that will benefit from these activities include Ballston Spa CSD, Galway CSD, Burnt Hills – Ballston Lake CSD, Voorheesville CSD and Stillwater CSD.
