Ballston Spa National Bank Names Student Interns for 2023

Ballston Spa National Bank (BSNB) recently welcomed the arrival of two student interns at their Corporate Offices in Ballston Spa.

Camden Smith of West Springfield, MA will be interning with the marketing department. Smith graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in sales management and a minor in marketing from the College of Saint Rose. This fall Smith will return to the College of Saint Rose to achieve his master’s in business administration (MBA). During his time at BSNB, Smith will support events as well as marketing and product campaigns, assist with sales reporting and product analysis, and draft website and social media content. Smith is a captain of the lacrosse team at Saint Rose and also enjoys golfing.

Lucienne Hymes of Niskayuna, NY will be interning with the commercial credit department. Hymes holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University at Albany and is now pursuing her master’s degree in business administration (MBA) with a concentration in finance from the University at Albany, School of Business. During her time at BSNB, Hymes will gain experience supporting commercial credit and lending by calculating spreads, analyzing personal and business tax returns, analyzing cash flow, and researching business customer information. Prior to BSNB, she worked as a graduate assistant for the Center of Undergraduate Research Department at the University of Albany. Hymes also loves to cook and go on hikes.

 

The year-round paid internship program has been active at BSNB since 2013. Students must have a minimum 3.0 GPA. The interns are responsible for a wide variety of tasks and are expected to work up to 16 hours a week during the school semester and full-time during breaks and over summer vacation.
