May 14, 2018Ballston Spa National Bank Employees to Support Local Organizations on Second Annual Community Service Day
On Tuesday, May 8th, all Ballston Spa National Bank (BSNB) employees participated in an annual Bank-Wide Community Service Day. All BSNB locations closed at 12 p.m. to give employees the opportunity to volunteer during this initiative and support organizations in the community.
This year BSNB partnered with Rebuilding Together Saratoga, CAPTAIN Community Human Services, Brookside Museum, Gateway House of Peace, and the Ballston Spa Village Cemetery. Groups of employees also worked to clean-up two area roadsides in Saratoga County – Daniels Road in Greenfield Center and Malta Avenue in Ballston Spa.
“At BSNB we appreciate the important and often vital role non-profit organizations play in helping to enhance the quality of life for people in this region. It is one of the reasons we started our Annual Community Service Day and why our staff is so dedicated to supporting the community throughout the year and throughout the Capital Region,” said Chris Dowd, president and CEO. “With 140 community focused staff members participating in this second annual event, we are excited and hope to make a positive difference helping to stretch budgets and move important projects closer to completion.”
Michelle Larkin, Executive Director of Rebuilding Together Saratoga added, “We were delighted to bring BSNB’s volunteers together with an elderly homeowner in our area that needs help maintaining a safe and healthy home. This is a great example of how these partnerships make a difference in the lives of our neighbors in the community.”
