Ballston Spa Country Club Ribbon Cutting

The Ballston Spa Country Club held its 100th anniversary celebration along with a dedication for this beautiful brand new clubhouse, built by Munter Enterprises, which also houses The Irons Edge restaurant. Jake DeVito was the emcee, with Club President Daniel Lowenstein speaking along with Senator Jim Tedisco, Assemblywoman Mary Beth Walsh, Phil Barrett in his role as chairman of the Saratoga County NY Government board of supervisors, and Meg McConnelee Soden representing the Town of Milton alongside Deputy Supervisor Barbara Kerr and councilmen John Frolish and Eric Delnicki.

The Capital Region Chamber and Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce ribbons were cut together, with leadership and volunteer Ambassadors of both chambers in attendance, plus Dana Mason Womer and past President Christine Kernochan of the Ballston Spa Business & Professional Association, Bernadette VanDeinse representing the Village of Ballston Spa, Darryl Leggieri Jr. of Discover Saratoga NY and Saratoga County Sheriff Michael Zurlo.

100 years ago Calvin Coolidge was president of the United States, Chrysler Corporation was founded, Lou Gehrig started on his consecutive games streak for the Yankees, Benito Mussolini began import reforms in Italy, and the first rumblings of Communism were seen in Vietnam. A very tumultuous century was about to take shape, yet through it all the Ballston Spa Country Club has been a place of recreation, refuge and camaraderie for all its members across multiple generations. Here’s to another great century ahead!!!
