Baker Public Relations Named Agency of Record for SUNY Schenectady County Community College

Baker Public Relations, a full-service, woman-owned communications firm in Albany, has been selected as PR Agency of Record for Schenectady County Community College (SUNY SCCC), adding the college to an agency roster that includes clients in industries from higher education, to lifestyle and real estate development.

Baker PR will execute a comprehensive public relations program and provide related strategic counsel designed to help SUNY SCCC build awareness about its diverse course offerings and programs of study, as well as assist the college in planning for its 50 year anniversary in 2019.

“Baker PR is honored to be working hand-in-hand with SUNY SCCC to further strengthen its presence in the community, both among first-time students and returning students,” said Megan Baker, President & CEO, Baker Public Relations. “SUNY SCCC has great history, excellent programs and outstanding initiatives and we look forward to sharing the commitment and passion of its educators, alumni, students and staff.”

“We are excited to partner with Baker PR to help us further our brand and presence in the region. Their proven track record makes us confident they will bring results that exceed our expectations,” said David Regan White, Director of Marketing and Public Relations, SUNY SCCC. “We know that this new partnership will further our standing as a pillar of higher education in upstate New York and an integral part of this community.”

Baker PR is eager to promote the College’s excellent programs in five academic areas: School of Hotel, Culinary Arts and Tourism; School of Music; Division of Business, Criminal Justice and Law; Division of Liberal Arts; and Division of Math, Science, Technology and Health. In late March, SUNY SCCC opened its new Biotechnology Laboratory and Research Facility on campus supporting two new degree programs for students interested in the high-tech biotechnology industry.
