Audition Saturday Set for #518gives Fundraiser

Showcase musical, dance or other talent at Audition Saturday on January 12, from noon to 4 p.m., at Colonie Center in Center Court. Choral groups, soloists, specialty acts and dance troupes are invited to audition for the #518gives Fundraiser to benefit the Center for Disability Services, the place where people get better at life. Performers may audition only one piece with a three minute limit.

Those selected through the audition process will be notified and will perform live on the televised #518gives Fundraiser on January 27, at the Red Lion Hotel, 205 Wolf Road. The live broadcast airs on WXXA/News 10abc on FOX 23 (cable channel 8 or check your listings) from noon until 7 p.m., and is a community tradition in the Capital Region and Saratoga/Lake George area.

The Center for Disability Services and its four divisions: St. Margaret’s Center in Albany, Prospect Center in Queensbury, Life Quality Solutions Incubator and the Down Syndrome Aim High Resource Center, improve tomorrow and have a positive impact today on the lives of people with disabilities and their families. Many of the Center’s innovative programs and vital services are not found elsewhere.

The #518gives Fundraiser is the largest annual benefit and public awareness event for the Center for Disability Services and its divisions. The Center’s mission is to enable and empower people, primarily those with disabilities, to lead healthy and enriched lives.
