Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara Hosts Autism Action Day

Join Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara for his Annual Autism Action Day at the State Capitol—Wednesday, April 10th (9 a.m.-2 p.m.) in the Well of the Legislative Office Building in Albany. REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN—reserve a table for your organization at https://nyassembly.gov/mem/Angelo-Santabarbara/contact OR call 518-455-5197.

Autism Action Day brings together individuals, parents and families affected by autism together with support organizations and legislators from across the state in a united call for action on the legislation and funding that can make a difference. Your participation helps give New Yorkers with disabilities a stronger voice.

Christina Arangio from News 10 ABC will again be our honorary emcee. Guest speakers include Dr. Gregory Firn of RoboKind, a company that’s using cutting edge technology to deliver research-based lessons that demonstrate appropriate social behaviors—and don’t miss a special appearance from Milo the Robot! He walks, talks and even makes facial expressions, but what makes Milo unique is that he designed to help kids with autism. At this year’s event you’ll also hear about a new partnership with the University at Buffalo that is advancing cannabinoid science research for the treatment of autism. During the program, The Amsterdam Mohawks Baseball Team will be recognized with the 2019 Autism Action Award.
