November 26, 2018architecture+ Names New Principals
architecture+ is pleased to announce the appointment of architects Valerie Bok, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, and Arien Cartrette, AIA, as Principals of the firm. They join Principals Francis Murdock Pitts, Joseph Lomonaco, J. Michael Bergen, Brian Barker, Sara K. Wengert, Mary Kate Young, and Vincent Lepera. Together, they lead the firm’s team of architects, planners, and interior designers in providing exemplary service to their education, healthcare, housing, and community clients.
Ms. Bok joined the firm in 1984 and Mr. Cartrette joined in 1998. Both are alumni of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and are currently collaborating on psychiatric facility projects in Wyoming and Texas. Ms. Bok has also recently designed new medical offices for The Center for Rheumatology and a children’s psychiatric facility in Columbus, Ohio. Mr. Cartrette’s recent projects include a psychiatric facility in Syracuse, New York and various residence hall renovations at the University at Albany and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
