February 2, 2017The APF Announces 2017 Board of Directors and Newly Revised Strategy
As part of its continued commitment in delivering exceptional care and protection to all companion animals, the Animal Protective Foundation (APF) is pleased to announce its newly elected 2017 officers and members of the Board of Directors.
The 2017 board includes the following directors and officers:
- Howard Halstead, President
- Reid Hislop, Vice President
- David Brownell, CPA, Treasurer
- James Girvin, Esq. Secretary
- Bob Fazio
- Steve Malinowski
- Robin Sevinsky
- Winifred Valachovic
As one of the first orders of business, the APF leadership is thrilled to announce its recently revised vision, mission and values strategy statements that were developed in the fall of 2016 with the support of staff members, members of the board of directors, and community stakeholders. The newly approved statements are as follows:
Vision – The APF helps create and serve a community where all companion animals are loved, respected and receive exceptional care.
Mission – The APF promotes and protects the human-animal bond by providing resources to our community and humane care to companion animals.
Values – The APF is guided by the following values: collaboration, compassion, excellence, integrity and respect.
“These Board announcements and revised strategic statements reflect our focus and community responsibility in protecting and supporting the lives of companion animals in the Capital District,” said Deb Balliet, Executive Director of the APF. “I’m thrilled to have such strong, involved, community leaders representing and leading our great organization. We have a long legacy of providing exceptional animal care and services to the community that has supported us in our work since 1931.
This year, we renewed our strong commitment to the community and invite their support and collaboration in new and exciting ways. With this leadership team, our skilled and compassionate team of volunteers and staff members, and a revised strategy. We are excited to build on our legacy.”
