Annual Saratoga Stroll for Epilepsy Steps Off September 11

The Epilepsy Foundation of Northeastern New York’s 8th Annual Saratoga Stroll for Epilepsy will be held on Sunday, September 11th, at the Saratoga Spa State Park – Columbia Pavilion. Over the past seven years, the event has attracted 3,700 “strollers” and raised $370,264.

Enjoy a “stroll” through the beautiful Saratoga Spa State Park while helping a great cause! Gather your family, friends, and co-workers to help raise awareness and funds for the Epilepsy Foundation of Northeastern New York.  Check-in begins at 9:30am and the Stroll starts at 11:00am.  Pre-registration is preferred; register online by noon on September 9th at http://bit.ly/StrollForEpilepsy2016 (day of registration is $30) and receive a Stroll for Epilepsy t-shirt while supplies last!  Registration fees are: $25 per person and students $10; children 12 and under are FREE. Enjoy music and entertainment for the kids, along with a BBQ lunch compliments of the Holiday Inn Resort Lake George. Epilepsy is a neurological disorder that affects one in fifty children and one in one hundred adults and is defined as having two or more recurring seizures; it can happen to anyone, at any age, at any time. Epilepsy is more common than Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophy, Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson’s disease combined. Services provided by the Epilepsy Foundation of Northeastern New York include education and training of school personnel and students, public education and awareness, service coordination, advocacy, counseling and first aid training.
