August 14, 2018Announcing Inaugural Special Effects Makeup Competition
The Makeup Curio is celebrating their one year anniversary by hosting the region’s only Special Effects Makeup Competition on Saturday October 13, 2018 at Proctors Theater Underground. Entry is now open, through September 30, for two age categories: ages 12-17 and ages 18 and up. 10 competitors will be chosen in each age group to compete in the live competition on October 13. The finalists will be announced on October 2.
The Makeup Curio encourages all Halloween lovers, cosplayers, theater junkies, and makeup enthusiasts to enter. Tickets to the event will be available online at www.themakeupcurio.com and in store, starting September 1, and at the door the day of the event.
Over $1000 in prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in each age category. Prizes are sponsored by Graftobian Makeup Company, a brand offered in the The Makeup Curio boutique.
