Anderson Center for Autism Appoints New Chief Program Officer and Chief Administrative Officer

The Board of Trustees of Anderson Center for Autism announced today that two members of the organization’s executive team have been promoted.

Longtime Chief Development Officer Eliza Bozenski, LMSW (resident of Rhinebeck NY) has been named Chief Program Officer, and Athena Angelucci, MBA, (resident of Wappingers Falls NY) who has been working as Chief Human Resource Officer, is now Chief Administrative Officer.

The leadership transition, which takes effect immediately, comes on the heels of news that Patrick D. Paul, CPA, ERMP, CEO and Executive Director since 2017, is retiring at the end of 2026, and that Dr. Tina Marie Covington, Chief Operating Officer (COO), is set to transition to the role of CEO and Executive Director in January of 2027.

Both Eliza Bozenski and Athena Angelucci are steadfastly devoted to our mission and extremely deserving of their respective advancement opportunities. In recent years, they’ve each been instrumental to our success as we’ve grown our workforce, navigated challenges, expanded programs, launched new initiatives, become thought leaders in our field, and clarified our vision for the future. Athena and Eliza embody all of the qualities that make leaders exceptional; both lead with integrity, empathy, a growth mindset, and a genuine love of what they do. I am really looking forward to our continued collaboration as we move into this next chapter in our agency’s history; we are so lucky to have them as part of our executive team at Anderson.”

Eliza Bozenski, LMSW, who holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology (Miami University of Ohio) and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work (Columbia University), first joined Anderson Center for Autism in 2006 as the Supervisor of Community and Education Supports. Since then, she has served in a variety of clinical, administrative, and leadership roles. Most recently, as Chief Development Officer, Bozenski led the development department while also overseeing the Case Management team. She is the host of 1 in 31: Autism Today, a weekly podcast covering all things autism, and serves on the boards of RUPCO and The Mead School.

As Chief Program Officer, Bozenski will provide executive leadership for Anderson Center for Autism’s Children’s Campus, Adult Services, Early Childhood Program, and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Program, while also retaining executive oversight of the development and case management departments.

Athena Angelucci, MBA, who just assumed the role of Chief Administration Officer, joined Anderson Center for Autism 10 years ago as an intern and has over the past decade served in the roles of HR Specialist, Benefits Coordinator, Assistant Director of Human Resources, Director of Human Resources, and most recently, as Chief Human Resources Officer.

Angelucci holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management (Marist College) and Master’s of Business Administration (Mount Saint Mary’s College). She is also a graduate of the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce Executive Leadership Program.

In her new position, Angelucci will provide executive oversight of Anderson Center International and the Corporate Compliance and Human Resources departments.
