July 1, 2025Anderson Center For Autism Announces Details Of First Annual Anderson Connects Career Fair Day
Anderson Center for Autism announced plans to host its first annual “Anderson Connects Career Fair Day.” The event, scheduled for September 18th, 2025 from 12-5pm at Anderson Recreation Center (Staatsburg, NY), is generously supported by the Barry and Holly Feirstein Endowment Fund, and hosted in part by Dutchess County Works.
Said Patrick Paul, CEO and Executive Director of Anderson Center for Autism, “We’re continuing to expand our workforce, and this event will give prospective team members a meaningful chance to visit with professionals from a wide range of departments here at Anderson. Representatives from the operations side of our organization, such as corporate compliance, human resources, finance, IT, and other departments will be available – as will those who work for our children and adult residences, Anderson Early Learning Academy, Anderson Education Center, case management, and other program-related areas. For anyone who is feeling ready to pursue a career change of any kind, we have so many options here at Anderson – and this is really an easy way to explore many different possibilities at the same time. ”
Established over 100 years ago in 1924, Anderson provides educational, vocational, clinical, and residential services for people with autism at its Staatsburg, NY campus. The nonprofit also runs Anderson Early Learning Academy (AELA) with three locations: Latham, NY, Pine Plains, NY, and Mount Marion, NY, Anderson Center Clinic (ACC) in Latham, NY, LifeLong Learning℠ day habilitation centers, and adult residences throughout the Hudson Valley region.
Anderson Center for Autism also has a number of affiliates working in other capacities to further its mission. Anderson Center International (ACI) trains scholars from all over the world, who work with Anderson experts to acquire the knowledge needed to establish programs upon return to their home countries. Anderson Center Consulting and Training (ACCT) provides training for schools, universities, families/caregivers, businesses, organizations, and entire communities who seek to join a roster of over 150 entities who have gained designation through ACCT as “Autism Supportive.” And ECHO Autism Anderson is a case-based learning program that offers educators from all over the world an opportunity to connect and learn from experts in the field in order to better support students with autism and other neurodiversities in their schools.
Dr. Tina Marie Covington, Chief Operating Officer at Anderson Center for Autism, noted, “The Centers for Disease Control reported recently that 1 in 31 are now diagnosed with autism. Given the fact that the incidence rate has grown so dramatically in recent years – along with the number of people who are considered neurodivergent – it is imperative that we do all we can to meet growing needs. And having a strong workforce and positive atmosphere for our team members is key to that success. We’ve got all kinds of part- and full-time positions and internships available – and we offer comprehensive benefits, generous pay and time off, wellness programs, advancement opportunities, and more. All of us who work here get to be part of something so much bigger than ourselves – and yet, as we work to improve life for others, we end up enriching our own lives as well. It doesn’t get better than that – and I encourage anyone who’s been considering a career change to learn more by joining us on September 18th!”
