March 26, 2025Alliance180 Welcomes New Board Members
Alliance180, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting Veterans, first responders, and frontline healthcare workers through an equine engagement program, proudly welcomes Robert Scheurer and Vicky Saraceni to its Board of Directors. Their leadership, experience, and dedication to mental health and community service will help advance the organization’s mission of providing life-changing support and suicide prevention resources for those who serve.
Robert Scheurer brings a deep personal and professional commitment to mental health and suicide prevention. A U.S. Army veteran with four years of service, Scheurer has firsthand insight into the challenges faced by those who serve. His extensive experience in the financial sector—currently serving as Branch Manager Assistant Treasurer at the Adirondack Trust Company—positions him to help expand Alliance180’s outreach and partnerships.
“Alliance180’s mission resonates with me because of its unique approach to mental well-being through equine-assisted therapy,” said Scheurer. “I have personally seen the impact this program has on individuals, and I look forward to helping spread the word about this life-changing organization.”
Beyond his professional and military background, Scheurer is an active community advocate, having served on the Veterans Business Council and currently on the advisory board for the Salvation Army. He and his wife, Taylor, reside in Saratoga Springs, where they enjoy hiking, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
Vicky Saraceni brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to Alliance180, having spent over three decades working to improve access to healthcare, behavioral health, and community services. A skilled leader in program management, grant strategy, and partnership development, she has secured funding for critical initiatives in mental health, substance use recovery, and workforce development.
“Having worked closely with healthcare providers, peer support networks, and nonprofits, I’ve seen the immense challenges faced by Veterans, first responders, and healthcare workers,”
said Saraceni. “I strongly believe in the healing power of equine experiences and am honored to support Alliance180’s work in suicide prevention and mental health advocacy.”
A lifelong Upstate New Yorker, Ms. Saraceni resides in Porter Corners, where she enjoys gardening, traveling, and exploring the Adirondacks. She is also an avid Mah Jongg instructor and active member of her community.
The addition of Scheurer and Saraceni strengthens Alliance180’s ability to expand its reach, deepen its impact, and continue its mission to prevent suicide and support those who have dedicated their lives to serving others.
“We are thrilled to welcome Robert and Vicky to the board,” said Denise Romeo, Executive Director of Alliance180. “Their combined expertise and dedication will be invaluable as we work to provide meaningful support to our heroes.”
