“Allegiant’s decision to provide low-fare flights to Nashville, the nation’s Music City, recognizes the Capital Region’s desire and support for flights to new and exciting destinations, and is validation of Allegiant’s confidence in the Albany International Airport’s potential for further growth and its ability to support expanded air service,” said Philip Calderone, CEO of the Albany County Airport Authority.

“Nashville is a one-of-a-kind destination with its deep, historic musical roots and cultural scene,” said Drew Wells, Allegiant’s senior vice president of revenue. “We’re excited to provide our brand of convenient, affordable non-stop service for Albany area residents to experience all that the Music City has to offer.”

“I’m pleased to hear that Allegiant is expanding its current schedule from Albany to Nashville, a city that is rich with music history.
