November 22, 2017Albany Public Library Participates in #GivingTuesday
Albany Public Library (APL) is participating in #GivingTuesday—Nov. 28—this year through the Albany Public Library Foundation.
#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving that takes place on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. This is the first year that the library is participating. Albany Public Library and Foundation leaders are asking for support of the Raising a Reader early literacy program. Raising a Reader is a free, self-paced program designed to help parents prepare their young children to read on their own.
Library supporters are encouraged to remember APL on #GivingTuesday with a donation that benefits Albany’s youngest readers. Donations can be made in person at any APL branch on Tuesday, Nov. 28, or contributions can be made online that day.
