Albany, New York Welcomes Female-Owned LINE-X Franchise to Community; Marilyn Otto Shows Off Her Hot Pink Chevy Silverado to Raise Awareness For Breast Cancer

LINE-X is celebrating one of its newest franchise owners, Marilyn Otto, as she officially announces the opening of the new dealership and that her first initiative is to raise awareness for breast cancer by painting her truck pink and showing it off at the 23rd annual Pennsylvania Jeeps All Brands Jeep Show this weekend at the York Fairgrounds. Breast cancer survivor and activist Otto recently debuted her custom 2015 Chevy Silverado LTZ, which boasts a LINE-X PREMIUM bedliner, leveling kit, side steps and a gorgeous hot pink vinyl wrap.  She has been using the truck to support breast cancer fighters and survivors year-round by traveling to local events.

“I’m five years from diagnosis and consider myself one of the lucky ones,” says Marilyn Otto, who recently expanded Albany’s Capital Tint & Graphics LLC to a LINE-X franchise. After a series of aggressive chemo and radiation treatments, Marilyn has been in remission for four years.

Marilyn and her son Ben chose to create a hot-pink truck not only for breast cancer awareness, but to emphasize the fact that the franchise is a woman-owned business, and to signal to non-car-savvy women that she has an unintimidating place to have work done and get involved in car culture.

The Chevy Silverado was completed in April and in its short lifetime has already done the rounds at several local events. The truck made an appearance at the Wildwood Jeep Invasion and Wildwood Truck Invasion in June. Following this weekend’s appearance at the Pennsylvania Jeeps All Brands Jeep Show, Marilyn and her Silverado will head to Ocean City Jeep Week August 23-26 in Ocean City, MD.

Visitors to this weekend’s All Brands Jeep Show can find Marilyn and her pink Silverado in the Fishbone Offroad booth.
