September 13, 2019Albany Leadership Charter High School for Girls Celebrates 10 Years of Education
The Chamber was honored to take part in the ribbon cutting celebration on September 12 to celebrate ten years of educating and supporting young women in the Capital Region.
Albany Leadership has been highly successful at closing the education gap and proud to have over a 90% graduation rate over the past two years, 100% college acceptance, and the ability to offer more than 15 college classes. Albany Leadership is a leader in academics, but they also put a strong emphasis on community. Every student who graduates from Albany Leadership completes a minimum of 90 hours of service learning and have partnered with more than 40 local organizations in the process. They have also begun a career exploration internship program for seniors, offering expanded graduation pathways.
Albany Leadership’s faculty and staff are committed to every student’s individual success. The Chamber congratulates them and is excited to see the next decade of positive impact!
