December 10, 2018Albany Law School Receives Gift of $1.5 Million from Anonymous Donor to Support Student Scholarships
Albany Law School announced today that it has received a gift of $1.5 million from an anonymous donor. The money will be added to the Law School’s endowment to support students who might otherwise not be able to afford to attend law school.
“We are grateful for this type of generosity which directly benefits our students,” said Alicia Ouellette, President and Dean. “Albany Law School has gained so much from the vision and leadership of our alumni, donors, and friends over the years. This gift will make a significant impact on our ability to support our students as they pursue their legal studies.”
As the cost of a legal education continues to climb, Albany Law School remains committed to enrolling and educating a diverse pool of talented students. Endowed scholarships ensure that the most promising students can attend Albany Law, regardless of their economic status.
Albany Law School has an endowment of approximately $65 million and is in the planning stages of a comprehensive capital campaign.
The Law School offers the J.D. degree—the traditional law degree—as well as master’s degrees, including a fully online master’s, LL.M. degrees, and an online certificate.
