Albany Institute of History & Art to Participate in Museum Day

Museum Day in an annual nationwide event hosted by Smithsonian Magazine in which participating museums across the country open their doors for free to anyone presenting a Museum Day ticket. The Museum Day downloaded ticket provides free admission for two people on Saturday, September 22, 2018. The Albany Institute of History & Art is one of the participating museums in this year’s event.

In addition to the current exhibitions A Menagerie of Whimsey: The Art of William B. Schade, Birds and Beasts: The Scary, Magical, and Adorable Animals of the Albany Institute, Thomas Cole’s Paper Trail, The Hudson River School: Landscape Paintings from the Albany Institute, and more, the Albany Institute of History & Art is hosting Family Fun Day at the Moo-seum on Saturday, September 22, 2018 from 10AM-4:30PM. Activities include storytelling, facepainting, sing-a-longs, art making, and more. This event is included with museum admission. Attendees can take advantage of the Museum Day downloadable ticket and use a ticket for free admission for two on September 22, 2018.
