  • Unique Albany gift items, local artisans, and specialty vendors selling their own goods (see the full list below!);
  • Live music by the Bryan Brundige Trio;
  • Fantastic door prizes;
  • Food and beverage samples;
  • Discounts at other nearby downtown restaurants;
  • And lots of holiday cheer!

The Albany Heritage Area Visitors Center is located at 25 Quackenbush Square in downtown Albany, NY. Parking is available in the lot behind the Albany Pump Station via Spencer St. Click here for more detailed directions.

In conjunction with the Holiday Market, Mayor Kathy Sheehan will host a Holiday Tree Lighting and Open House at Albany City Hall.

The tree lighting ceremony kicks off with a concert by Amy Heebner on the historic Albany City Carillon beginning at 4:30 p.m. Mayor Sheehan, members of the Albany Tulip Court and city officials will light the tree in Academy Park at 5:15 p.m. as the Albany High School Albanettes choir performs holiday favorites. The City Hall rotunda hosts more music, light refreshments, vendors and informational tables from community organizations from 5 to 7 p.m.

A free Advantage Transit Group trolley will shuttle attendees between City Hall and the Holiday Market throughout the evening, making December 2 a great night to get into the holiday spirit in Downtown Albany.

Both the tree lighting and Holiday Market are free and open to the public
