Albany, NY – (May 15, 2015) – AEON NEXUS Corporation, an IT consulting practice, officially opened their new headquarters at 138 State Street in historic downtown Albany. Executive Partner of AEON NEXUS Omar Usmani joined with local and state dignitaries including Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan, County Executive Daniel McCoy and Deputy Director of State Operations, Andrew Kennedy in welcoming over 200 guests and officially cutting the ribbon on the completely renovated historic building. The event coincides with the 15th anniversary of the company’s founding in Washington D.C.
The move to New York’s Capital City is another example of the resurgence of the downtown area and the importance of the minority-owned and small disadvantaged business sector to the economic expansion being experienced throughout the state. “With the increased vibrancy of downtown Albany and the easy access to the commercial and government sectors, establishing our New York headquarters in Albany was a must,” said Omar Usmani. “We are excited to be part of the revival of Albany’s iconic State Street and look forward to riding the wave of economic expansion in the Capital Region,” Usmani said.
AEON NEXUS, employs 20 people in the region with plans and capacity to double with the expansion in Albany. This new office marks the second location in the Capital Region and the third overall for the Company. AEON NEXUS is currently seeking applicants to add to its roster of technology consultants.
