February 19, 2025ADNET Co-Founder Promoted to Chief Operating Officer of New Charter Technologies
ADNET Technologies, a Managed IT, Cloud and Cybersecurity firm with offices in Rocky Hill, CT and Albany, NY, announced that Co-Founder and CEO Christopher J. Luise will be taking on a new role at its parent company, New Charter Technologies. Christopher J. Luise, longtime CEO of ADNET Technologies, has been named Chief Operating Officer of New Charter.
Luise co-founded ADNET Technologies in 1991 with Edward D. Laprade. Its goal has always been to be a partner of choice for local businesses and to provide strategic IT guidance. For the past three years, Luise has not only served as Chief Executive Officer of ADNET, but he has also been Group President of New Charter.
As the Chief Operating Officer, or COO, of New Charter, Luise will take on an expanded role and oversee operations for the entire national platform of MSPs and technology companies. Currently, New Charter has more than 30 companies across North America in its network.
He will be stepping down from his position with ADNET Technologies to fully focus on helping grow the New Charter platform but will still be very much a part of ADNET. As part of strategic alignment between its local operating companies and New Charter, executive leadership works closely with all companies, ensuring a seamless transition for clients.
“ADNET will always be home to me,” said Luise. “As a founder, I think that’s always going to be the case for me – and for many other leaders within the New Charter platform. But I’m excited for this new chapter and looking forward to working closely with all our companies in a new way. ADNET joined the platform in 2021 to be part of something bigger, to provide unique growth opportunities for our team and to expand our skills, services, and business to better suit the needs of our clients. That’s what we’re doing today, and it’s what we’ll be doing tomorrow. I’m leaving ADNET in very capable hands – Lynette has done an incredible job leading the company as President, and I have the utmost confidence that she will continue to make me proud.”
ADNET has offices in Connecticut and New York and employs over 60 people. The award-winning MSP has been named a Best Place to Work in CT since 2014, and leading service provider by various industry lists.
“It’s bittersweet,” said ADNET President, Lynette Maffei. “I’ve had the pleasure of working with Chris for a decade now, and his leadership has shaped so many of us. He’s a generous mentor, and within ADNET and through his role as Group President at New Charter we’ve seen so many people benefit from that. We’re so excited for him – I can’t wait to see the heights he will take New Charter – and all of us – to in this role.”
Maffei noted, “I envision this as an opportunity to work even more closely with our parent company, and to continue deepening our relationships, building partnerships, and accelerating growth by aligning with other regional operating companies. The future is bright for ADNET.”
