A 13-Year Journey Leads to the Grand Opening of Rexford Sunoco

Rexford Sunoco, a new family-owned fuel station and convenience store, recently celebrated its grand opening with a Capital Region Chamber ribbon-cutting ceremony. Owned by Marilyn and Ankit Sehgal, the business combines quality fuel services with a modern convenience store designed to deliver an exceptional customer experience. Featuring thoughtful amenities, family-friendly parking spaces, and a focus on convenience, Rexford Sunoco reflects the Sehgals’ commitment to serving the community with outstanding service and attention to detail.

The Capital Region Chamber joined community leaders, elected officials, business partners, and supporters to celebrate the official opening and welcome the business to the Capital Region.

Emcee Shawn Daley of the Capital Region Chamber congratulated the Sehgal family on behalf of the Chamber’s membership, recognizing the business as a valuable addition to the community. He highlighted the station’s innovative features and shared how it has already become a popular lunch destination for nearby teachers and school staff, demonstrating its early impact on the neighborhood.

Representing Assemblymember Mary Beth Walsh, Abigale Burke congratulated the Sehgal family on their investment in the community. She remarked on the excitement surrounding the opening and praised the family’s dedication, noting the strong support system that helped bring the project to life.

On behalf of Senator James Tedisco, Alex Blizinski presented a citation recognizing the grand opening and extended the senator’s congratulations and best wishes for the family’s continued success.

Clifton Park Town Councilman Zabed Manir also welcomed the business, congratulating the Sehgal family and expressing the Town’s support as they continue to grow their business in the community.

Speaking on behalf of the business, Marilyn Sehgal reflected on her family’s 13-year journey in the fuel and convenience store industry. What began with the purchase of a single gas station and a willingness to learn has evolved into the construction of their first ground-up facility. She thanked the engineers, builders, employees, family members, and friends whose support made the project possible, emphasizing that the business was built through hard work, perseverance, and the strength of the community around them.
