December 11, 20248 Count Kitchen Chef Jermaine Wright & the Palace Theatre present “Each One, Feed One Holiday Harvest.”
8 Count Kitchen Chef Jermaine Wright, in collaboration with the Palace Theatre will be hosting the second “Each One, Feed One Holiday Harvest,” missioned to #Feed500 in the Capital Region, cost-free, while offering new and unopened toys for children and families in need. The Holiday Harvest will take place on Saturday December 14th, from 1pm-5pm, at the Palace Theatre in Albany NY.
Inspired by the Kwanzaa principle Ujima, the collective work of our community to address the challenges that are faced in our community, admission will be (1+) canned or community fridge food item, and/or (1+) new, unwrapped, and unopened toy(s). Toys and nonperishable food items will be donated to the St. Catherine’s Center for Children, fresh food items will be donated to Free Food Fridge Albany, and meals will be donated to the YWCA of the Capital Region to help those who may be impacted by food insecurity. The #Feed500 Holiday Harvest will offer FREE hot meals, FREE toys, FREE resources, music and dope community vibes, and is open to the public, regardless of socioeconomic status.
In an effort to maximize the mission, 8 Count Kitchen Chef Jermaine is introducing the #Feed500 Team, a culinary collective of chefs and restaurants committed to donating time and resources to the cause. Dishes will be donated and served by 8 Count Kitchen, Allie B’s Cozy Kitchen, Good Religion Grill, Juices Forever, and Kitchen 216, for the ultimate “Sunday Dinner” friends and family vibe.
“After witnessing last year’s impact firsthand via the smiles of so many children and families, we knew our work was far from done,” said 8 Count Kitchen owner Chef Jermaine Wright. “While the holidays may be bright for some, we know it can be dim for others, which is why it was so important to lock arms with our local #Feed500 partners, and collect toys to help maximize our mission.” “At the Palace Theatre, we recognize that not all of our neighbors have the means to provide their families with a healthy meal or toys under their christmas tree” said Palace Theatre Executive Director, Kevin Johnson. “The Each One Feed One Holiday Harvest #Feed500 initiative works tirelessly to provide these folks with a more joyous holiday than they might have expected, and for that, we are honored to be the home for this year’s event.”
