20 North Broadway Tavern Named 2015 Wing Walk Winner

A total of 18 restaurants served up a mouthwatering selection of chicken wing recipes during the 4th Annual Wing Walk today from 12 noon – 5 p.m. in Downtown Schenectady. Guests flocked to downtown for the sold-out event, with a record 1,000 tickets sold through the Proctors Box Office, an increase of 400 tickets over last year. Guests were encouraged to cast votes for their favorite wing flavor. After all ballots were counted following the event, 20 North Broadway Tavern defended their winning title from last year and were named the 2015 Wing Walk Winner for their Sweet & Spicy Buffalo Style Wing.

New this year, a panel of special guest judges also rated wings in several categories. Judges were Steve Barnes, Times Union; Ryan McCalla, 102.7 WEQX-FM; NYS Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara; and Haley Viccaro, The Daily Gazette. Judges’ picks were:

  • Most Creative Wing: Aperitivo Bistro, 7 Hour Cherry Pepper Wing
  • Spiciest Wing: Taj Mahal Restaurant, Spicy Masala Wing
  • Best Sauce: Mexican Radio, Vidalia Onion Georgia Peach Wing
  • Best Traditional Wing: 20 North Broadway Tavern, Sweet & Spicy Buffalo Style Wing
  • Judges’ Top Wing: Bombers Burrito Bar, Lemon Pepper Garlic Wing
