1937 Restaurant Week to Launch Start of Siena Basketball Season

Siena Athletics and the Downtown Albany Business Improvement District have partnered to celebrate the start of a new Siena Basketball season in downtown Albany. The first-ever “Siena 1937 Restaurant Week” will offers diners three-course meals at numerous participating downtown Albany restaurants for the cost of just $19.37, in recognition of the year of Siena College’s founding.

The special offering will be held from Monday, Nov. 7 through Sunday, Nov. 13, the date of Siena’s men’s basketball season opener against Cornell at the Times Union Center at 2 p.m. The Siena women’s home opener is the following week, on Saturday, Nov. 19 against Hartford on campus at the Alumni Recreation Center.

“We welcome the start of another season of exciting action as our talented student athletes and dedicated coaches and staff begin their quest for MAAC championships,” said Siena College Vice President and Director of Athletics John D’Argenio. “This year we are pleased to celebrate the return of college basketball to the Capital Region with Siena 1937 Restaurant Week, which will help set the table for our men’s home opener. We thank the Downtown Albany Business Improvement District and all the participating restaurants for partnering with us on this week-long initiative leading up to the start of the season.”
