Albany FireWolves Opening Night Ribbon Cutting

Fans attending opening night of the Albany FireWolves 3rd Season got a special treat at the MVP Arena! The team performed spectacularly leading to a 17-13 win over 2022 East Conference Champions the Buffalo Bandits. Before the game, the Capital Region Chamber, the Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce, the Rensselaer County Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Colonie Chamber of Commerce teamed up to cut the ceremonial ribbon (there were actually 5 ribbons cut including the team ribbon, a new record!) to start the season.

Saratoga County Chamber President Todd Shimkus, Rensselaer County Regional Chamber President & CEO Norris Pearson, Colonie Chamber Immediate Past Chair Brian Jones, and Capital Region Chamber’s Senior Vice President, Community Advancement, Pete Bardunias addressed the crowd along with FireWolves CEO Oliver Marti and of course “Alfie”, the team mascot! Cheerleaders enthusiastically shouted for the home team as the game started, and a very intense, action packed and entertaining night lay ahead.
