Simone’s Kitchen Opens Second Location on Jay Street

The Capital Region Chamber was thrilled to Emcee a great ribbon cutting on August 16 morning in downtown Schenectady, as Simone’s Kitchen opened its second location right at the corner of Jay and Franklin Streets across from City Hall.

Mayor Gary McCarthy spoke on behalf of the City, joined by several City Council members.  County Legislator Michelle Ostrelich also addressed the crowd, plus Mia Comenco on behalf of Assemblyman Angelo Santa Barbara, and Jim Salengo of the Downtown Schenectady Improvement Corporation. Also present was Ray Gillen of the Metroplex Development Authority. The Chamber was well represented by our volunteer Ambassador crew, and many other well-wishers joined in the celebration.

Located just below Urban Coworks, Simone’s Kitchen offers some great Mediterranean food, with many authentic dishes and bowls, and the Baklava is first rate! Plus, the Jay Street experience is a unique and fun one, right in the middle of the city!

All ribbon cuttings are sponsored by Saratoga National Bank and Trust Company.
