$150,000 Grant to Benefit Schenectady Youth

YWCA NorthEastern NY is thrilled to announce that The Schenectady Foundation has awarded a grant in the amount of $150,000 over three years, in support of its Early Learning Program! Kim Siciliano, Executive Director of YWCA NorthEastern NY said, “Without support from The Schenectady Foundation, YWCA NENY would not be able to provide the critical programming and mission-driven services in our community!”

YWCA NorthEastern NY provides critical early learning education year-round for children 0-5 years of age in an enriching environment with support from community partners such as The Schenectady Foundation. Parents and children benefit from this support as families can maintain financial stability so parents can work and children can get a jumpstart on their future education.

The Early Childhood financial support from The Schenectady Foundation will expand educational equity across all boundaries and allow families to have peace of mind regarding their child’s educational foundation. The Schenectady Foundation is supporting a holistic approach to caring for the whole family when early learning programming is consistent, of a high quality and takes into account the effects it has on the whole family.
