Belonging
The Chamber’s strategic plan commits to providing catalytic leadership to position our region as a location of choice for people and private sector investment. To do so, our region needs to be a place where everyone feels they belong, that they are accepted, supported and valued in the workplace and in our community. Through its leadership, actions, educational programming/resources and community collaborations, the Chamber is committed to cultivating prosperity for all.
Creating inclusive workplaces and communities improves our collective ability to compete. Doing so helps to drive innovation, enhances company culture, and strengthens businesses. By prioritizing inclusive growth, we create stronger companies, a more dynamic workforce, and a thriving economy for all.
The Capital Region Chamber achieves this by:
- Supporting businesses in cultivating welcoming workplace cultures
- Developing and sharing effective business practices and educational programming/resources
- Cultivating collaborative partnerships and opportunities for the mutual exchange of voices, experiences, knowledge and perspectives
- Helping accelerate the growth of businesses that have encountered barriers of inequities
- Building a membership, board, and workforce that reflects our region
- Advocating for policies that expand access and opportunity
