Her Treasure Box Celebrates Opening with a Ribbon Cutting

Debbie Fowler cuts the ribbon to officially celebrate the grand opening of Her Treasure Box, 1775 Van Vranken Ave. in Schenectady. Joining in the celebration were Mayor Gary McCarthy, family, friends, Chamber Ambassadors and many of the volunteers that help at Her Treasure Box.

Her Treasure Box is a unique store where all of the craft goods sold are donated by people who support the mission of Eyes Wide Open NENY, a not-for-profit organization which is bringing awareness of human trafficking of women and girls to the community and providing homes of love, hope and healing to those who are victims of trafficking. All of the proceeds generated by Her Treasure Box are used to support the mission of Eyes Wide Open NENY.

Her Treasure Box will also be offering arts/crafts classes open to the community taught by volunteer artists who want to share their talent and expertise because of their belief that art plays an important role for each and every one of us.

Her Treasure Box is open Wednesday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and is staffed by volunteers. For more information on Her Treasure Box and Eyes Wide Open NENY visit www.eyeswideopenneny.org
