Commissioner of Health to Join Capital Roots and St. Peter’s Health Partners to Announce New $500,000 DOH-funded Partnership

Capital Roots and St. Peter’s Health Partners will host a press conference on Tuesday, May 3, at 10 a.m. in Albany to announce the details of their new NYS Department of Health-funded partnership under the five-year Creating Healthy Schools and Communities grant. The Commissioner of Health, Dr. Howard Zucker, will be in attendance to speak about the impact this $500,000 yearly investment will have on the greater Capital Region communities. Leaders from Capital Roots and St. Peter’s Health Partners will share details of the work they are engaging in to create a crossroads between healthy food access and physical activity in schools and neighborhoods in not only Albany, but also Troy, Schenectady, Watervliet, and Cohoes.
