April 28, 2016Spring Regional Games Special Olympics New York
Special Olympics New York’s 2016 Spring Regional Games will be held on April 30 at Burnt Hills – Ballston Lake High School, 88 Lake Hill Road, Burnt Hills NY, Athletes and coaches will be traveling from all over the Capital District to compete in this event.
All events are free and open to the public:
EVENT SCHEDULE (subject to change)
- 8:30 to 9:15 a.m. Athlete Registration and Volunteer Registration
- 9:30 a.m. Opening Ceremonies
- 10:15 a.m. Competition
- Awards at conclusion of Games
Special Olympics New York, which does not charge athletes to participate, provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in 22 Olympic-style sports for more than 64,000 children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Through their participation in Special Olympics New York, athletes have an opportunity to gain confidence and build a positive self-image, which carries into the classroom, the home, the workplace and the community.
